One Hispanic opportunity district can be drawn. About 39% of students are Hispanic but there are no Hispanics on the board, and all trustees are white. On the 2023 STAAR exams, 45% of Hispanic students met grade level, compared to 59% of white students. Read the letter.

Responds that the district determined its elections comply with the VRA and that there is no violation of the VRA. States that no practice in the district results in the denial of any citizen to vote on account of race or color. Read the letter.
